Dahab General Information


Dahab, which means ´gold´ in Arab, is a small village set apart by the destinations more frequented in the region. The village is situated 95 Kilometers northeast of Sharm El Sheikh, in a splendid geographical position, around an ample natural oases. Its horizon lies between the warm reflexes of the dunes and the shining colors of the sea. Dahab is known above all for the famous diving spots in its proximity: Canyon, Blue Hole, Ras Abu Qalum, Lilhlaba, Eel Garden, Lighthouse Reef, Abu Halal. The characteristic atmosphere of Assalah, the Bedouin camp, lies in the heart of the village. The natural reserves of Ra´as Muhammed, Tiran and Sanafir Islands, St. Catherine, Nabaq, Abu Qalum offer a variety of exciting excursions and safaris.
